Prevention Of Diabetes
A person is at a higher risk of prediabetes or type 2 diabetes (T2D) if the person is with the following.
A patient with type 2 diabetes should do the following to reverse type 2 diabetes.
The Benefits Of Flu Influenza Vaccination
The researchers have studied 124,503 adult patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) in the United Kingdom between 2003 and 2010.
The study has found that influenza vaccines or vaccination may help us in lowering the risk of hospitalization due to stroke and heart failure. The study shows 24 percent lower death rate in those patients who had Influenza vaccines.
The study was published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
About Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) And Type 2 Diabetes (T2D)
The patient with diabetes can have continuously high blood sugar levels and high blood sugar levels can increase the risk of long-term health effects.
When we eat food, the food will be converted into sugar (glucose) and join the bloodstream. The beta cells in the pancreas will detect the rise in the glucose levels and secrete insulin into the blood.
Insulin will help us in moving the glucose from the blood into cells. A cell uses glucose to produce energy.
In a patient with type 1 diabetes (T1D), the beta cells which can secrete insulin will be damaged. So glucose cannot move from the blood into cells and sugar levels in the blood may keep on increasing. So a patient with type 1 diabetes will require insulin injection to help the patient in moving the sugar from the blood into cells.
The high glucose levels in the blood can cause insulin resistance in a patient with type 2 diabetes (T2D). The beta cells in the pancreas may not able to produce enough insulin required by the blood in moving the glucose into cells to produce energy. So a patient with type 2 diabetes (T2D) should perform the physical exercise to lower blood sugar (glucose) levels and eat healthy food to lower the production of glucose by the liver.
The Health Benefits Of Pokemon Go Game
The researchers from the University of Leicester says that playing Pokemon Go game may help in lowering body weight and in lowering blood sugar (glucose) levels.
This game will prevent the "Couch Potato" or sedentary behavior of children and adults.
The game "Pokemon Go" is a location-based reality mobile game where the player needs to move in the real world to catch, battle or train monsters. The study was published in Diabetes Care.
Benefits Of Aloe Vera
A study at David Grant USAF Medical Center, Fairfield, California shows that eating aloe vera plant could benefit those people whose fasting glucose levels are above 200mg/dl.
The researchers have studied the effects of oral aloe vera on patients with diabetes or prediabetes. The study shows the following.
The study was published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
The Biomarkers To Childhood Obesity
Gestational diabetes (GD) during the pregnancy can increase the risk of hypertension (high blood pressure. BP), blurred vision and tiredness.
A woman may become a patient with type 2 diabetes even after the birth of the child. The child born to mother with gestational diabetes (GD) may likely with a higher risk of childhood obesity and diabetes and it is going concern around the world.
A study was done by Zhonghua Shi and colleagues at the Nanjing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital, China on the structure and function of proteins (a field is known as proteomics) and the biomarkers in pregnant women with gestational diabetes (GD).
The study has found that the overweight baby is due to the accumulation of too much of body fat in the mother with gestational diabetes (GD).
The researchers found phosphatidylcholine sterol acyltransferase (LCAT) and phospholipid transfer protein (PLTP) are acting as the biomarkers for gestational diabetes (GD). The study has found elevated levels of these proteins in a woman during the pregnancy.
